When you want to fill your jar to the top, you start with sand. (See post on Building Shaklee Income: Pebbles and Sand). Each grain of sand is a customer. Happy customers tend to collect themselves together into 'pebbles' and may some of the pebbles gather into rocks. But really, it's all just sand.
That's the reality of a Shaklee business. Everyone starts out as a customer, happy customers tell other people, and in time that collection of customers creates a sales leader, starting with Director.
Sometimes, though, a would-be Director looks at other sales leaders and just sees rocks! It seems too hard a move to get from being a piece of sand to a rock, or even from a pebble to a rock.
The reality is that every Director is in essence a grain of sand that has attached itself to some other grains of sand. In time, anyone who wants to build up to pebble or rock status can do so!
In terms of FMM materials, picture the Savers Coop form. Now visualize each square being filled by a grain of sand. Four or 6 make a pebble. Put 16 or 20 of those together and you have a rock.
Your jar is your lifetime Shaklee income. Start adding grains of sand. Collect yourself into a pebble, then a rock. Keep adding sand. The jar will fill. Other pebbles and rocks will come along. Your example will attract other rocks. Your jar will fill faster and faster. It's easier with rocks. So gather your grains of sand, make a rock, and make something full of value for you and your family. PL
